DRONES BY ELFMAN TAKES FLIGHT OVER SEDONA’S NEWEST WORK OF ART

Drones by Elfman recently took to the skies to capture aerial footage of “Dream Catcher,” the striking new monument by nationally recognized sculptor Chris Navarro, located at the Cortez Road/State Route 179 roundabout in the Village of Oak Creek.

From above, the real story is the movement of the drone weaving through and around the structure, revealing angles you simply can’t see from the ground, including dynamic passes through the open form of the dream catcher itself.

From ground level, it commands attention. From the air, it becomes an entirely different experience the one defined by motion, depth, and perspective.

THE OPEN GATE | A Different Perspective

Sedona is filled with art, but sometimes the best way to appreciate it is to see it from an angle you simply can't get standing on the ground.

This latest footage from Drones By Elfman features “The Open Gate” by artist Regan Word, a striking sculpture in Sedona, Arizona.

Rather than simply flying around the sculpture, I wanted to do something different.

Fly THROUGH it.

The drone peers through The Open Gate, using the sculpture itself to frame the surrounding Sedona landscape and creating a perspective that transforms the artwork into part of the view.

That's what I love about aerial photography. It's not always about how high you can fly. Sometimes it's about finding an angle no one thought to look through.
